About the deck
Horizon 22 is the free public viewing gallery on the 58th floor of 22 Bishopsgate in the City of London at 254 metres. It is the highest free public observation space in Europe and one of very few free high-altitude viewing galleries in the world at this elevation. The indoor 360-degree gallery covers the full floor plate of the tower, with floor-to-ceiling glass on all sides.
Pre-booking is required via the official website. The views cover the full City of London financial district, the Thames, the Shard across the river, Canary Wharf to the east, and the West End to the west..
The honest take
Zero pounds. 254 metres. Pre-booking required but otherwise free public access to one of the highest viewpoints in London. The Shard View charges GBP 19 (about USD 24) for 10 fewer metres at 244m. Horizon 22 is the honest budget option for high London views. The City of London's developer, HB Reavis, built the free viewing gallery as a public amenity - a rare gesture in premium London real estate.
