About the deck
The Taipei Nan Shan Plaza Observatory is on the 46th floor of the 272.6m Nan Shan Plaza tower at approximately 229 metres, overlooking the Da'an District of Taipei. The tower is part of the World Trade Center complex and sits 1.2km south of Taipei 101. The observatory offers views of Taipei 101's upper floors from the same elevation as the iconic tower's lower two-thirds, providing an unusual perspective on the city's dominant landmark.
Nan Shan Plaza was completed in 2019..
The honest take
This is not the primary reason to visit Taipei - Taipei 101's Observatory at 391m is 162 metres higher and the far superior deck. But if you are based in the Da'an district or want a view of Taipei 101 from near-level with its mid-section, Nan Shan Plaza provides a free (or near-free) alternative vantage point. Ticket pricing unconfirmed at data collection.
