About the deck

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt occupies floors 91-93 of One Vanderbilt at 311 metres. The experience features four floors of mirrored and glass installations including Air (a glass-enclosed terrace), Levitate (tilted glass boxes that cantilever over 42nd Street), and a mirrored Sky Hall. The building's honest height is 310.9 metres - the observation deck sits at the top of the occupied zone.

One Vanderbilt has a 27.2% Vanity Ratio, placing it in the upper tier of New York's supertall spire-padders..

The honest take

SUMMIT is at the top of One Vanderbilt's occupied floors - 311 metres - and immediately below 116 metres of decorative spire that nobody ascends. The experience is deliberately theatrical. The city views are genuine. The building's Vanity Ratio (27.2%) and its observation deck are, for once, in the same part of the building.
